Live the Life you Choose

At its heart, community living is about everyone having the freedom to create the life they want to live, in a community where they feel safe, are supported to live with dignity and can make their own choices.

Everyone is Home for Good

Atlantic Community Supported Living provides personalized, person-centred services for adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, mental health challenges and diverse needs to live the life they choose in community.

We support every individual to build real friendships, pursue their passions, find meaningful volunteer work and employment, and claim their rightful place as active citizens.

ACSL IS PROUD TO BE AN APPROVED SERVICE PROVIDER FOR INDIVIDUALIZED FUNDING (IF) AND INDEPENDENT LIVING SUPPORT (ILS)

We Start By Listening

Our person-centred approach focuses on understanding each person’s  goals, strengths, interests, preferences, and needs. We work alongside individuals and their support networks to create flexible plans that reflect what matters most to each person and adapt as their goals and needs change.

Through personalized services, we help individuals build confidence, develop skills, and have choice and control in their daily lives. We build bridges for community participation, education, employment, meaningful relationships, health and wellbeing, and a strong sense of belonging.

At ACSL, we are committed to listening, collaborating, and finding creative solutions that empower individuals to live fulfilling lives in their communities.

We Build A Plan Together

1

Supported Living

Everyone has the right to choose where and how they live. We support individuals to have control over their daily lives, make informed decisions, create routines that reflect their own preferences, goals, and needs and participate in their communities.

2

Skills Development

Growth happens through learning, exploration, and opportunities to try new things. We support individuals to express their needs, navigate challenges, and build confidence in everyday life skills.

3

Relationships & Belonging

Everyone has gifts to share. We support individuals in finding and developing their “natural supports”— authentic relationships with friends, neighbors, coworkers, shopkeepers, and people with shared interests that exist independently of our services.

4

Education & Employment

We support individuals in finding activities they enjoy, turning their skills into opportunities for volunteering and employment and discovering learning opportunities that support personal growth and future goals.

5

Community & Inclusion

We support individuals in building connections in the community happens by joining organizations, attending events, volunteering, or being involved in the things they care about.

6

Health & Wellbeing

We believe physical and mental health are an essential parts of a balanced life. We support individuals in maintaining their well-being by helping them make informed personal choices, access the right resources, build healthy routines.

True inclusion requires a two-way street: we support individuals to step out into the world, and we help the world become a more welcoming, barrier-free place to live in.
