Angela Cooper

Board Member

Angela is a retired Registered Nurse with a distinguished 38-year career in healthcare and community service. Originally from Newfoundland, Angela completed all of her education there, including her nursing training, before continuing her professional journey in Nova Scotia. For 27 years, Angela worked with the Halifax Regional Rehabilitation Centre, supporting persons with physical, cognitive and mental health needs. Throughout her career, she was recognized for her compassion, advocacy, and commitment to improving the quality of life for those she served.

Angela has proudly served as a member of the Board of Directors for the past six years. Her experience in healthcare and her dedication to community involvement allow her to continue making meaningful contributions to the organization and the individuals it supports.

Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Angela enjoys reading, walking, hiking, and knitting baby bonnets for newborns at the IWK Children’s Hospital. She is also actively involved in her community through volunteer work with a Veterans Memorial Day poppy display, reflecting her appreciation for service, remembrance, and community connection.
